What is the meaning of Believe:

Believe is the feelings of absolute certainty to something. ‘Believe’ is purely internal feelings to think that something is true, correct or real. Although this feeling is considered as fragile as broken glass.

What does ‘Believe in Yourself’ means:

When it comes to ‘believe in yourself’ it is the shield of your life, the source of your mental strength and the stepping stone to success.
What you are today, what your success is, in what situation your life is today etc. are the direct results of your faith. Believe in yourself means belief in your own capabilities, your own capacity, your own potential and accepting yourself wholeheartedly. Lack of self-belief breeds self-doubt and as a result you are bound to suffer from inferiority complex.

Why Believe in Yourself is important:

Various studies say that people trust others, hypocrisy, and external things more than they believe themselves. That’s why people are cheated again and again. Believe requires acceptance and several references more than proofness.
Self-belief does not only increase Self-confidence in certain areas, but it creates also high self-image which has the effect of increasing self-assuredness and self-reliance to cope in all problems. In fact, the role of ‘believe’ is very important in shaping our mindset( Some other factors like values, past experience, meta program, physiological state etc are also involved). We know very well how much our mind-set affects on our results, so directly or indirectly our results must depend on self-belief. It will be more clear if we give some examples in this regard. People wear expensive dresses of various designs, use jewelry, apply creams on the face and use makeup tools to flaunt their beauty, but how many of them believe that she/he looks beautiful! If someone says “you  are not looking good” when you go out dressed in a beautiful design, don’t you start questioning yourself? Again suppose you believe that you can do a task and undertake to do it.  When you come to focus on the work, someone, you know, your parents or someone significant to you asks you whether you can actually do the work at all! Then and there your own believe is shaken, you doubts on whether you can do the work at all or not! If you don’t believe in yourself, a little thing, some words of others’ creates self-doubt, then how far can you go with a fragile belief in yourself? This fragile of faith will multiply your adversities many times over.

What are the Synonyms of Believe:

There are many synonyms of the word believe, among them faith, trust, confidence, conviction, reliance are notable. The words credence, motion, troth, tenet, paricularism are all synonyms of believe, the rest depends on the context in which they are used.  And all these synonyms make the word faith very important in our life. For example, if you trust someone or someone reassure you, you will easily develop believe in him, in this case your mind may not ask you any questions, and even if you are dependent on someone, you may develop faith in him. I discuss these because all of these factors influence how strong or shaky your self-belief is.

I will mention here some very simple and practical methods through which you can strengthen your believe in yourself.

Break old false believe:

Believe in yourself or to others, if you don’t break your old beliefs new believe will not be developed. A number of false beliefs about oneself are formed as a result of misconceptions, negative experiences, or negative comments from others. Caught in the trap of such beliefs, many people lose their happiness in life, despite hard work high level of success does not come, irrational fear takes root in the mind.

Overcoming false but strong beliefs about oneself need to shake them and that is possible only by questioning these beliefs. Ask yourself, is what you believe eternally true?  From what reference did you have this belief?  Are those references 100% accurate?  Why do you believe what you believe?  Is this believe harming you or doing good to you? Your believe system is bound to waver in the face of such question marks.

If you pay attention, you will see that the part of the house which is not used, is not cleaned, not much human movement, spiders, cockroaches, ants, insects make their nests there. Whenever you use it, clean it, everything gets repelled, runs away. In the same way, wrong beliefs have been living peacefully in your mind for so long and making your life dirty.  If stirred by the question, they will be forced to cower and flee. Once the space is freed, you can easily create new beliefs that are positive for you, conducive to your success and can make you happy and prosperous.

Self-realization:

Realize yourself, what do you want?  What is your purpose?  Where are your weaknesses or where are your strengths?  What do you love to do?  What work do you feel motivated by yourself?  A clear understanding of these is crucial to building believe in yourself.
In fact people do not realize themselves or much less try to.  Most people listen to their parents, elders, teachers and authority figures from a young age and instill false beliefs in their brains that limit their self-beliefs. And in fact, our brain searches for ways to prove true whatever we believe.
When important authority figures make a comment about you, they may be making the comment out of anger or bias towards a particular situation, but the far-reaching effect is deep in your subconscious mind. For example, at a very young age someone is labeled by his parents or teacher as naughty, or as saying that no good will be done by the child, later this statement is transformed into his/her own belief. You can’t shut someone’s mouth or shut your ears all the time, but you can remove these false negative beliefs and develop positive self-beliefs through self-realization. Also, whenever you hear such a negative statement about you, immediately say to speaker with no sound, “This is your opinion, I don’t believe in it” to the speaker. The bad effect of the statement will be greatly reduced.

Technics to develop Believe in Yourself:

I am mentioning a very simple method to strengthen your self-belief which will surely play an important role. Following these steps will strengthen your believe in yourself.

  1. Identify which believe you want to adopt and create a colorful picture or video in your mental screen. See, feel and hear whatever in the image or video. Give some references also to your mind.
  2. Imagine all the positive changes in your life, the impact, and the benefits you receive as a result of adopting this belief.
  3. Gradually bring it closer to you by making it bigger and more colorful, intensify your feelings.
  4. You can also add some of your favourite music, favourite colour in it to intensify your feelings.
  5. Again imagine yourself moving into your future with new beliefs and see the positive impact it has on your life.
  6. Play the movie in your mental screen twice or thrice.

This method will create a clear picture in your mind and your mind will be able to easily grasp new beliefs.

Conclusion:

Belief is the main pillar of our mindset, the better the mindset, the better your internal representation, whether any event will have a positive or negative impact on your mind depends entirely on your mindset. If you have believe in yourself, you can easily overcome fear and get the motivation to work.  No person, things or situation can sway you from your goal only if your belief in yourself is strong enough. If you are persistent in your goals, success will come naturally. Success is not a sudden result, success is a method, with patience, self-belief, consistently following this method is the way to success.

Believe in yourself, you will find light in the dark and find a way to overcome adversity.  “Magic starts to happen when you believe in yourself”. by Institute Of Mental Wellness
